SANDALWOOD

Sandalwood is the most sacred tree of India. Its fragrant wood has been highly valued throughout the Orient for thousands of years. Sacred icons are carved from its wood and temples are constructed with it. However, its most endearing use is as a fragrant base of numerous incense blends. It is said to balance the chakras and to enable the soul to reach the highest spiritual planes in meditation.
