FRANKINCENSE

This gum has a long established history of use as incense in Christian and Pre-Christian spiritual traditions. In ancient Egypt they were burnt to honour the Sun-God Ra. According to the Bible, the three Sages brought offerings of Frankincense and Myrrh to honour the birth of Jesus. Both Frankincense and Myrrh are still widely used in the Roman Catholic Church, as well as in many other spiritual traditions. The scent of these divine gums is both spiritually uplifting and purifying.
