COCOA BUTTER

Cocoa Butter is derived from the seeds of the cocoa fruit, which is usually better known as the source of chocolate. Cocoa butter is perhaps the hardest of the nut butters, which makes it a good vegan alternative for beeswax with the additional benefit of enriching home-made cosmetics with its nutritional, emollient and moisturising properties. It is neutral in smell and melts at body temperature, making it ideal for lip balms, ointments and creams. Its emollient properties add soothing and skin softening qualities to soaps and lotions
